Meet the Artist

 

Tessa Rosenau (she/they/he) is a multidisciplinary artist with specialties in nontraditional and combined modes of performance. As a queer and nonbinary performer, she is passionate about using art as a way to speak about and bring awareness to social injustice, political issues, and societal norms. With interests and skills in a wide range of art forms, Tessa is looking to work in areas of camera acting, voice over, performance art, dance, and movement-based theatre.

Tessa is a recent graduate of Western Oregon University, having just earned their BFA in Acting and a minor in Dance. Born and raised in Cheyenne, WY, Tessa moved to Salem, OR at age 15. In addition to their involvement in theatre, Tessa has been dancing for most of their life and has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, modern, lyrical, musical theatre, hip hop, and aerial hoop. In addition to dancing at local studios, she has studied dance in Berlin, taken classes at Broadway Dance Center, as well as trained with talents including Galen Hooks, Barbara Duffy, Heidi Duckler, and Azuki Umeda.
